The Panasonic INTERIOS CU-HM36BAHU is a 3-ton outdoor extreme heat pump designed for hybrid heating and cooling applications with compatible INTERIOS A-coil indoor units. It integrates with a new or existing furnace to provide whole-home heating and cooling while supporting cold-climate operation down to -22°F (-30°C). The system uses R454B refrigerant and is ENERGY STAR Cold Climate certified.
The CU-HM36BAHU delivers 36,000 BTU/h of rated cooling capacity and 38,000 BTU/h of rated heating capacity at 47°F. At 17°F, the rated heating capacity is 29,200 BTU/h, while at 5°F the system provides 36,000 BTU/h with a COP of 1.9. The outdoor unit uses a rotary compressor, electronic expansion valve, and supports flexible installation and hybrid dual-fuel operation.
