The Panasonic INTERIOS CU-HM48BAHU is a 4-ton class outdoor extreme-heat heat pump designed for hybrid heating and cooling applications. It is engineered to work with compatible INTERIOS A-coil indoor units and a new or existing furnace to provide whole-home heating and cooling. The system uses R454B refrigerant and is designed for cold-climate operation down to -22°F (-30°C).
When paired with the CS-HM60BAAU4 A-coil, the CU-HM48BAHU provides a rated cooling capacity of 45,000 BTU/h and a rated heating capacity of 38,000 BTU/h, with operation across a broad temperature range. The outdoor unit features electronic expansion valve control, a rotary compressor, built-in A2L refrigerant sensing, and a base pan designed to support extreme cold-weather operation.

Hybrid Heating Application
