3M / Neogen Clean-Trace Surface Protein (Allergen) Test Swab ALLTEC60 provides a rapid, simple, and reliable method to monitor allergenic protein residues on surfaces—supporting cleaning verification programs where fast feedback and operator consistency matter. Results are interpreted by comparing the swab/solution color against the label to determine the presence and level of allergenic protein residue.
How it works (published process)
- Swab: Collect a surface sample (including hard-to-reach areas).
- Click: Activate the swab per the “swab-click-read” workflow.
- Read: A visible color change indicates protein residue level; results develop in ~15 minutes.
Equipment note (published): Requires a heat block calibrated to 55°C ± 1°C with wells supporting 24 mm x 1.5 mm tubes. For best results, the page recommends a partial immersion or digital thermocouple thermometer rather than a total immersion type.
