Additional Features:
The Bosch 7099006 hot surface ignitor supplies the ignition source for the burner in compatible HVAC heating equipment, energizing on a call for heat and glowing until it reaches the temperature required to light gas as the valve opens, which eliminates the need for a standing pilot. Its flat silicon nitride element sits recessed inside a perforated stainless steel shroud that guards the element from impact and burner turbulence while still allowing air to circulate around it, a construction that holds up considerably better than the exposed silicon carbide style it replaces and lowers the risk of cracking during handling or installation. A molded ceramic block secures the element and routes the braided high-temperature lead away from the flame, and the assembly arrives with its mounting gasket and wiring harness so the replacement can be installed and connected without sourcing additional parts.
