The Bosch 87072072380 is a replacement control unit that acts as the electronic command center for compatible HVAC equipment, handling operating sequence, temperature regulation, and safety monitoring on a 120V AC supply at 50/60 Hz with a maximum current draw of 1.2 amps. Its rigid molded enclosure places an LCD readout behind a raised, sealed clear lens on the same exposed face as the adjustable rotary selector, mode key, plus and minus keys, and reset button, so the unit doubles as the appliance user interface rather than a hidden circuit board, and it must sit flush behind the front access opening to remain visible and reachable during setup and service. Multi-pin harness connectors along the top edge and a stamped metal mounting bracket support a direct, wire-for-wire swap into the existing chassis without modification.
