The Bosch-8733957053 is a liquid line filter drier built to protect residential and commercial HVAC systems by capturing moisture, acids, and particulate debris circulating in the refrigerant before they can reach the metering device or compressor, a common cause of restricted flow, acid formation, and premature compressor failure. It is compatible with R22, R134A, R404A, R407C, R410A, R507, and R454B, and carries a maximum working pressure of 680 PSIG (4688 kPa), making it suitable for both legacy and current refrigerant systems. Its defining characteristic is a true bidirectional design with matching 5/8 inch connections on both ends, allowing refrigerant to pass through in either direction with equal filtration and drying performance. That biflow capability is what makes it appropriate for heat pump applications, where the liquid line reverses between cooling and heating operation and a standard one-way drier would require additional check valves to function correctly. The unit is housed in a sealed steel shell with a glossy corrosion-resistant black finish for durability in outdoor and mechanical room installations, and is UL listed as a filter drier.
